Reskilling Expo/ TimeBank Santa Cruz

The Winter Reskilling Expo with a slate of Seed and Biodiversity Teachers will take place February 5 from 10:00 to 4:00 at the MAH. Bring items for the 4:00 Seed and Plant Exchange. We can help package your seeds throughout the day.

TimeBank Santa Cruz Debut at 1:00. You'll also be able to sign up that day. We'll have Volunteer Members available to help you complete an Application, Create an Account and begin posting Offers and Requests.

Cob Building A to Z

Learn everything from siting and foundation to walls, windows, door and scultping and plastering for building your very own cob structure: a studio, refuge, bench, sauna, doghouse, etc.

No experience needed and preferred. We will be on a beautiful organic farm remodeling their oven with a unique sculpture, and building a unique and artsy seating/eating area for their community oven events.

Wear work clothes and bring a plastering trowel and work and/or rubber gloves. Organic lunch provided each day. All ages welcomed!

Full introduction to Cob Building in this 3-day lecture and hands-on workshop on the beautiful Live Earth Farm land. We will be building a seating/eating area and also resculpting their big pizza oven. COme and learn skills for a lifetime of natural building...
