Results of the Post-its exercise (group brainstorm) at this event are here.
Our October event will be a showing of the movie "The Power of Community," which is an inspiring look at how Cuba adapted to life with a very low supply of oil and other imported resources, during their "special period" after the collapse of the Soviet Union. As one of the few case studies of a relatively successful response to a peak-oil-like situation, Cuba's story has much to offer us as we plan our own transition away from fossil fuels.
The movie screening, as usual for Transition Santa Cruz, will not be just a movie screening, but also a time to connect with others and share your ideas.
Date and Time: Thursday, October 23 from 7 PM to 9 PM.
Location: Native Sons Hall, 239 High Street. This is at the very bottom of High Street, next to the pedestrian bridge (across the freeway from Holy Cross Church). MAP
Admission is free (donations are encouraged). Bring a friend!
