No Impact Man

Wednesday, December 9
6:40 Reception, 7:15 Film, 8:45 Discussion
Del Mar Theater, downtown Santa Cruz
$5 advance, $7 at the door

Here's a fun one! Take your sweetie out to movie night at the Del Mar and laugh about your relationship to low-impact living...and to each other.

No Impact Man is the story of a guilty New York liberal who decides to practice what he preaches for ONE YEAR (turns off the electricity, stops making garbage, gives up TV, taxis and take out & becomes a walking, bicycling, composting, tree hugging, polar bear saving, local food-eating citizen), all while taking his baby daughter & caffeine loving, retail-obsessed, television-addicted wife along with him.

In addition to the fun of seeing the film, the evening will feature a discussion led by local ocean scientist Wallace J. Nichols. Transition Santa Cruz members will also be there, tabling in the lobby before the film. You can get tickets in advance at this link.

People Power will be providing valet bike parking to make it easy to get there with little or no impact.
