Noted author and change maker Anna Lappé will speak on The Future of our Food System: Taking a Bite into Climate Change and Agriculture.
Anna Lappé is a national bestselling author and public speaker, known for her work on sustainable agriculture, food politics, and social change. Named one of TIME’s Eco-Who’s Who, Anna leads the Cambridge-based Small Planet Institute, a collaborative network for research and popular education, and the Small Planet Fund, which has nearly half a million dollars for democratic social movements worldwide, two of which have won the Nobel Peace Prize since the Fund’s founding in 2002. Anna holds an M.A. in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and has just released her new book: Diet for a Hot Planet: The Climate Crisis at the End of Your Fork and What You Can Do About It.
