Nature Deficit Disorder was first a term coined by Richard Louv in his 2005 book Last Child in the Woods, refers to the alleged trend that children are spending less time outdoors resulting in a disconnection between themselves and the natural world.  "Getting Nature Connected" is a perfect response to this problem by reinvigorating our curiosity about the wild places in our local community for children and adults alike.

Topics for the weekends include: Holistic Tracking, the Art of Foraging, the Art of Survival, Intuitive Awareness, Knowing Plants and more. Sensory awareness skills are developed each month to tune the senses to the current rhythms of the land and animals to assist in forming a deep and lasting connection to build a resilient community.  Full calendar is on the website.

Jon Young speaks regularly at events around the world with over 30 years of experience in the mentoring and nature awareness field.  His addresses, writings, and recordings have inspired thousands of people worldwide to enliven their connections with nature and community. Jon is often called “one of the most gifted presenters and public speakers there is.”
